Would you like to enroll your child in Memphis Community Schools but don't live within the district borders? Below you will find information on the 2026-27 Schools of Choice enrollment process.

Please contact building office for information on enrolling in between SOC windows.
Items to be considered
- If your child is in K through grade 12, lives out of District, and has already submitted a School of Choice Application that has already been approved, you do not need to complete another School of Choice application, provided there has been continuous enrollment at MCS since acceptance and you have not moved in and then back out of the district.
- If a child (grade K-12) has been accepted through Schools of Choice, but the family moved into the District and then back out, you must complete another School of Choice Application. In the event the window is closed, please contact district office for waiver information at (810) 535-8227.
- If your child was accepted on a release for the 2 nd Semester of the 2025-26 school year, you MUST complete a Schools of Choice application for the 1 st semester of the 2026-27 school year.
